Day 4,248

My right knee was hurting from running yesterday, really need to get some new shoes if I'm going to start running and look into a knee brace

Going to get my blood work done tomorrow morning, today I didn't feel like going in the morning.

Meals have been around 85% - I keep making some poorer choices in the evening - last night I was craving ice cream, this morning I was craving a portos blueberry muffin - didn't succumb to either!

I have to remember in the morning it takes me a minute to wake my mind up/judgement, I need to give myself time to wake before making descisions!

In general I'm feeling a lot better, I'm going to do a weigh-in later this week after I have a few more days of clean eating and workout. Today is a rest day to help my knee feel better

Day 4,244

Had a good appointment with my doctor yesterday, I'm thinking I have hypertension and high blood pressure, and it helps with the momentum of my improving lifestyle choices.

I had an interesting dinner with my mom, seafood, which was delicious but high in calorie. Also it was more about how much time that took to meet up, and I could have used my time better. Amazing how all things are connected with regards to time and getting my goals accomplished.

When I came home I didn't want to work on my songs, but now I'm wishing I had. I need to just stay on the goals and enjoy working on songs however I can. I can get this record done.

The doctor prescribed Nexium for the hearburn, and I recorded myself turns out I am actually snoring at night so I'm going to work on learning how to sleep more on my side or on my back.

Diet wise, I've done great - opted for a chicken salad homemade today and still working on a bunch of food from the grocery store. I have a fun weekend ahead of me and I'm not going to worry too much about my food choices, but I'll try to go for a fun hike while in Solvang.

Day 4,243

Had a very relaxing hike in Griffith park this morning, granola and yogurt for breakfast and toast with peanut butter.

Going to do some jogging and pushups on my break from work this afternoon, and then I'm excited to meet my new doctor today in Burbank.

Last night I had some slop food after the gig and a couple beers, today it should be pretty avoidable for me to do that and stick to my plan.

Still feeling great.

Day 4,242

First day to record actual weight loss in a long time, down 2 pounds from last week and feeling great. Had a great workout at the gym this morning and I feel like i'm making some good improvements. Spring always seems like there's a bit a lift in my routines.

30 min eliptical
55 pushups

Breakfast:
2 eggs, toast, greens, tomatoes, green tea, water, flaxseed oil

Lunch:
mom's in town, so we're having a late lunch - to prevent me from over eating, i'm going to have a chicken salad

Dinner:
I'm going to fix something at home before heading off to the Goldblum gig tonight. Avoid the pizza at  the show since its not really worth it. No pre-game beer, glass of wine, mostlikely one other drink at the end of the night at the dresden if I go

Day 4,241

I'm getting better workouts at the gym right now, I want to learn more about a weight routine thats right for me at this point, get some new gym gear (shoes/shorts) and continue to keep track.

breakfast:

2 eggs on toast with mixed greens and tomato
water
green tea
flaxseed oil

....i feel like a million bucks

Lunch:
I have chicken to prep, going to make a chicken salad and maybe a tuna salad as well

Will try to have salad before gig at bourbon steak tonight and for dinner after the gig some great steamed veggies from BS
One glass of red wine tonight
