Day 311

Today, Im gonna do it the right way - Ive had a bran muffin and two bottles of water already - and Im going to try to do some light excersize just before my gig tonight at the jazz bakery - its gonna be a good one so come out if you're in town!

This week was tough, I realized that I have quite a way to go still. Im still shooting for 190 on day 495.

Im gonna try and put up some picutres soon - ive got some good ones from the road so far this summer.

Day 304

Today, my eating habits have been a bit obscured, just so far some cantelope and banana bread with lots of water. I ran 2 miles this morning and Im going to go walk another one maybe here in an hour. The weather is a bit hot out so im gonna be careful.

Ive been working on new tunes today - learned Gone With the Wind, Indian Summer, and I Concentrate on You. There's always so many jazz standards to learn.

Im not gonna let the weight thing get to me today - i know that ill have it by thanksgiving or christmas! When i stepped on the scale today, i wasn't to happy with the results- but give me some more time and ill have it!

Day 302

Now past the three hundred day mark, its remarkable to see how far Ive come! Even while on tour this summer with my group, ive been able to manage my weight and excersize. Its so exciting to see all the changes and to look forward to whats in store. My goal is still to be at 190 by the end of the year and I know I can hit it.

Right now, Im spending time with the Cohan family of Los Altos, CA - one of my best friends and fellow new west member Brady Cohan's residence. Right now were going to go play some tennis. Cheers to three hundred days of progress and change and to the next three hundred to come!

Music that ive been listening to recently - Tom Warrington Trio - Cordoroy Road w/Larry Koonse and Joe LaBarbara. Wow! I highly advise you all take a listen.

Laters!

Day 284

With the new west summer tour underway, i have been very exctied about our progress so far! the music is really coming together nicely.

Health wise, im doing great -ive been running most every day. I seem to be lingering in the upper 220s which is fine. Im just trying to keep my eye on it. It sure fun to go running all across the west coast - every new city a new opportunity to run! Ill be sure to keep you all posted! Check www.newwestguitar.com for more information about our tour!
