Day 206

After a few days in Las Vegas, Im offically back on my health plan. Im heading to the grocery store tonight and Im gonna pick up some good stuff. As of day 200, I was in the low 240s, but now im back up to 247. I think Im going to begin a new resolution, im only going to weigh myself on sundays. So starting tomorrow, ill just be marking my numbers on the weekends, its getting to emotional to do it everyday. Ive got 15 to lose over the next 6 weeks - that might be pushing it - but nonetheless - its coming. So far today, Ive had:

1. Grape Nuts w/lowfat milk
2. Peanut butter and jelly sandwhich on wheat
3. pretzels
4. Rasins
5. Water
6. Almonds

Im going to the store tonight, and ill probably have something soy for dinner.

Here we go!

My recital is coming along- ive got my work cut out for me this week though!

Day 198

The past few days have been rather productive- Im continuing to book performances with the New West Guitar Quartet for our summer tour, so be sure to visit the website www.newwestguitar.com to see where we're coming to a city near you.

Unfortunetly, I didn't make it to the grocery store this week, so ive been a bit lax on my food routiene. However, I still have managed to make good choices. Today, Ive had a sandwich w/ a side of cottage cheeze and peaches. But then I splurged and had a jamba juice and brownie - ouch. I guess its good for your metabolism though to have that stuff at least a couple times a week. My weight has been up and down, but im in the low 240s which is great - haven't seen those numbers since 8th grade.

Im really pushing now, Ive gotta meet my goal by the end of the year. Day 200 is just two days away, and Id like to see a 240 mark on that day. Its fun to go to clothes stores now and be able to try on the things in the store. Ive definetly come a long way! Its sure a testiment that you can make a transformation of your body if you wish - its only a mind-over-matter issue. Ive now become completely obsessed with being healthy - may not be a bad thing afterall.

Today marks the beginning of spring break for me, my final spring break. Im excited that graduation is just around the corner- all I have left are a few papers and exams and thats it. Who knows if ill return to school? ? but for now, the plan is to live a frugal lifestyle, hopefully finding some guitar students and gigs, and then keeping my eyes on the prize. It will be interesting to see how my wellness plan will change after leaving school. Considering college keeps you on your feet all the time, im going to have to make up for that active life somehow. Im sure Ill find a way :-).

Day 195

Well, I have had a very productive past couple of weeks with the guitar quartet. The film show was a huge success, I can't wait to do it again. Now, its back to trying to book more performances for our summer tour. As for my health, my eating habits haven't been as excellent, but I have still managed to get my numbers down. Today, im 241.8. My goal is to get near 239 by the end of the week. Sunday will be day 200!! I can't believe that Its been 200 days and ive lost over 50 pounds. There is hope afterall! This week, I have been eating high-protein foods like fish and cottage cheese. Yesterday, I only had some cereal, protein bars, and pasta. I need to incorporate more greens into my diet, which is hard cause I hate that stuff.

Swimming has been great, although I really suck at the whip kick and breast stroke. I gotta shed that stuff! Today, I lifed weights as well and that always seems to boost me up.

Ive been listening to Bill Frisell this week - good stuff I gotta admit!
