Day 186

Well, this blog thing hasn't taken off for me this semester - but i guess i should still keep you informed.

Music is going great- New West has a big show this next sunday im for sure going to let the whole world know about tommorrow when i send off a massive email to everyone on earth. Tonight- saw Chris Potter, got to chat a bit, man --- what an unbelivable musician.

As for my health, things are getting better! Im nearing the 50 pound mark, hopefully by day 200 it'll be there. Here's where I stand so far:
Today: 244lbs - since day 1, a difference of 46 pounds!!!!!!!!!!
mid-term goal: 220-230 by day 249 (my recital day). for a grand total of 60-70 pounds off!!!!! wowo
next goal - keep it off over the summer tour months!!! - i think this could be crazy difficult -
But Then im gonna really take it home and get to 190 pounds by day 495 (new years '07) for a grand total loss of 100 pounds. Thats it. My goals and im stickin to them!!!

As for my music goals, right now i have a lot on my plate and after seeing Chris tonight it makes me want to go and learn more and play more. Im gonna reach for it and I suggest all you who are musicians do the same!!!

Day 174

Well, as you may have noticed, I haven't been keeping up as much with the blog thing right now. First of all, ive been sick for a week, and my excersize routiene has gone to hell for the most part. But starting this week, im getting back into it and im starting off great! Ive been at 250 for a few days so im confident I can really keep it going now! I only have about 25 days before day 200 so my goal may be a bit far fetched. We'll see how this all works out. In the mean time, its back to the gym and my refrigerator in the everlasting attempt to finally get fit! At least ive made it this far and in 175 days I have lost 40 pounds. Good news!!

As for music, things were great today. I had the first "rehearsal" with my new rock band. Were getting some of the tunes started and this seems like an interesting road to travel. We'll see how long it lasts --- Then tonight, I saw our USC Contemporary Music Ensemble perform the Lutoslawski String Quartet (1964). What a piece! With Midori on Violin as well! Really got my ears in tune for some out stuff. New West is drving me crazy right now, we have so much on our plate and I just don't know how its going to come together - but one day at a time!!!

And as for the last thing, today being valentine's day and all, I figure I should make a comment about my first entry on this blog one hundred and seventy four days ago. I have been working on my social skills and trying to raise my confidence in myself. As for girls, its been getting better! And I know the weight thing has something to do with it. I look different and feel different and my appearance is a bit more dynamic because of this. So things are definetly coming together and my prayers are being answered. Ill fill you in more as things develop. Happy valentine's day and let this be a lesson that all resolutions, regardless of when they happen, are worth keeping.

An idea just hit me. I think I am going to declare August 20th my own little holiday. This was the day I made the choice to change and by god it has worked so far. Ill work on this idea . . . .
